Dyneema®
This is DSM's HMPE, High Modulus Polyethylene, branded as Dyneema®. Because of the extremely long molecular chains this material combines extremely high strength with minimum weight. It is up to 15 times stronger than quality steel, on a weight for weight basis. Dyneema® has a high abrasion and cut resistance, making it very suitable for use in rope and netting. Dyneema® floats, and is resistant to moisture, UV light, and chemicals.
